This week, we have a conversation with Lisa Hajjar, associate professor of sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, who has been writing about Omar Khadr, the youngest detainee at Guantanamo Bay, and whose trial is set to resume on Monday, Oct 18th, 2010.

Later in the program, we speak with Algerian film maker Lyes Salem, who wrote, directed and starred in the award-winning movie “Masquerades,” which was chosen for the opening night of this year’s Arab Film Festival. The movie begins tomorrow Oct 14th and it will run through Oct 24th at movie theaters in the Bay Area.
